Pigeon

An Analog way to Catalog

"Friendships can deteriorate very quickly if you don't invest in them - it probably only takes about three months"
- Evolutionary psychologist Prof Robin Dunbar

Being physically distant during quarantine, people have resorted to the digital world to facilitate connections. An increased screen time, being away from one's friends and peers, has led to an increased feelings of loneliness and anxiety among people who cannot interact with their social circles in the way they used to.

How might we enable connections between people while minimizing screen time?

Background

A project that was born out of a casual discussion between my friend and I when we were discussing the outcomes of our research internship with Think Design. My research project revolved around understanding the shifts in means of entertainment during the pandemic and how these spaces might evolve in a post-covid era. 🔗

My ally for the pigeon project, Abhijeeta, had done a similar research on the area of evolving nature of relationships during and post pandemic.

We saw that there were interesting overlaps in our research findings and we sought to take this up as a collaborative project to explore what we could do with the insights we had.

We instantly connected with the idea and thought of building it up as a project.
